I chose The Little Mermaid because it was my favorite book and movie when I was growing up. I always loved Ariels story and how she wanted to explore a new world. It felt magical to me, full of adventure and excitement.

Both the book and movie were special in different ways. I loved reading about Ariels journey, and the movie made it come to life with music, bright colors, and fun characters. I never got tired of watching it. Even as I got older, the story stayed important to me because it taught me about being brave, following my dreams, and being true to myself.

Choosing The Little Mermaid now reminds me of my childhood and the happiness it brought me. Its more than just a story it is something that made me love adventure, imagination, and believing in dreams.

    Hey Danielle, I love how we did the same fairytale of the little mermaid and had a different perspective in which we told it. I do agree with how you stated that in life sometimes we have to make sacrifices and much more can come out of it than what you agreed or expected.

    I liked the brief background info we got in the beginning, i feel it is important to give a small background before reading to children so this was great. Your pacing and tone was really good. I like how you didn’t rush and your voice was quite soothing. I also like how you paused and explained what was happening. Again, this is super important when reading to kids

    Hello Danielle, I really liked your presentation. I thought you spoke very clearly. I liked how you showed the picture in the beginning so we could imagine the character throughout the story. I also enjoyed how you spoke about the book being meaningful to you. You took your time in reading and explaining the story, along with adding slight pauses, so the audience could really get it. Overall, awesome job!
