Summary

A story that I grew up reading and listening to. I chose this book as I am reading this now with a student client of mine and we enjoy reading together.

Great job with your introduction of the Three Little Pigs Jada. Your summary of the story was on point. I like your voice variations where you changed your tone to suit the characters in the reading. You were very clear in your reading.

Jada, I like how you incorporate emotions into your reading of the story! Also, you read the story very warmly and energetically.
Something about hearing the sounds of pages turned from a book and being shown the pictures reminds me so much of my childhood!

Hello Jada, I thought your presentation was really good. I think it got off on the right track when you introduced the story gracefully which set a positive mood. I also really felt for your story on how you had three different intonations of your pitch, your regular voice when there was no dialogue, the big bad wolf, and the three little pigs. That really motivated me to listen effectively for the outcome. Your voice was also very clear and expressive, especially when you did the characters. Another thing I liked was your pacing which didn’t move too fast or slow but gave me time to follow along with the story. It was really great how you zoomed in on the pictures to let the story come to life and that gave me time to absorb what was happening. Overall, your read aloud really captured my attention.

I enjoyed your reading you have a calming voice. This is a classic book that all kids love. You had a lot of energy and changed your voice when reading from certain characters.

  5. Hi Jada! Your calming tone really made me connect to the story. Your emotions changed within characters, which I loved. You really tried to keep the audience engaged. You enunciated each word carefully and took your time reading. Overall Good job!

Hi Jada, your emotions could really be felt in your reading, especially in the way you switched them with each character.

I feel that one thing that teachers never really did was make different voices for different characters, so the fact that you did this was amazing! It was engaging and i loved how clearly you read.
