Crystal,
I like the tone you chose to read the book in, and all of the gestures you added. I think it can really help a child who’s listening to stay engaged and attentive!

“I Like Myself” is actually a favorite of mine too Crystal. It is such an uplifting that encourages not only children, but adults as well to appreciate themselves and raising their self-esteem. I like that you chose this reading for your God-daughter. That is really special. Nice job with the reading too.

Hey Crystal! I loved your presentation! Firstly, I never heard of this book but this would easily be one of my favorite books as well. Nowadays, there are so many children who struggle with their self-confidence and self-love so implementing this in your goddaughter from a young age is so special. Like you said, these affirmations are important; they may become words that these children say to themselves when they are feeling down, and it becomes something that lifts them up. In terms of your presentation, your use of different pitches as well as hand gestures really solidified my attention, and I strongly believe that this would significantly aid in this book becoming a favorite of any child who hears you read it to them. So good!

I love the tone of voice you used to really fit into the protagonist’s emotional state throughout the different parts of the book. You really brought the character to life with your hand gestures and facial expressions as well. I can imagine that you really keep your god daughter engaged while reading her this book and that plays a big part as to why she likes the book so much. Really good work Crystal!
