Summary
Cinderella
Aleksandra Grala
Hey Aleksandra, this version of the story was nice. I love how you changed the name and you made it short but targeting the main details of the story. You introduced her step sisters and stepmother, the ball and the lost shoe. I like how instead of making her a maid you made her someone who is a genius. You allowed the story to relate to modern day with the setting of city and machinery and gears. The airship was creative. I love the connection you allowed the grand engineer and Ella to make with the machinery. When He stated “ You understand machines?” And Ella stated “ I built them” it reminds me of the issue in connection that men and women have in some relationships where there the interests are not the same so sometimes they don’t feel like they can talk or do certain things with one another regarding them. Here Ella has that connection and interest to what the engineer loves and naturally so that’s what makes them go together opposed to her just being a queen. This can be seen where he states “ I need a genius like you”.
Aleksandra, I like how you switched around the original elements of the story. The way you tell the story is also very engaging. I think you could have went a little bit longer with telling the story, but the way you did it is also fine!
I like how you spoke clearly and told the story in a calm way. It was soothing and your pacing was great!
Hello Aleksandra, I thought your presentation was original and unique. I liked how you made it into an up-to-date version. It was great that Cinderella is seen doing something different, like building machines, and shows less sexism than some of the traditional adaptions. I also enjoyed how you changed her companion from three mice to a clockwork owl. I thought you had a good rhythm of pace, and your tone was very soothing. I also thought had good voice inflections, including the way that you sometimes used sound effects, such as when the bell struck midnight. Overall, this was a fun story!
Hi! Your presentation was very cool! I like that it was more modern and the way you presented was awesome. You did a great job!
